First off... Absolutely great product; Last time I was asked to help by our local Scout group to maintain their page, it was close to 15 years ago. It's almost been a 10-year absence from html development for me. This product is practically a direct replacement to one I had used / set up all those years ago (but no longer seems to be maintained).

Given that the goal of this plug-in is to present / provide access to the general public (or at least those interested) in viewing photos from some of our Group's activities. I'm in need of guidance for making a single setting, as I am completely unable to track it down. With everything as locked down as I can get it, the folders, sub-folders and images are all visible to a non-logged in user. Right-clicking is disabled on the files, and before photos can be posted, we need to make sure each youth in the photo has an authorized media display release form signed. So no Uploads are allowed. As mentioned, all this is working perfectly.

What I'm stuck on is when any folder or sub-folder is entered... The top-right remains displaying an active menu option to edit the folder name and description. Is there a setting I'm missing to disable this option?

Many thanks

- Jeff

What kind of login do you use? With a user that you give certain rights?

Best regards, Michael

If you are referring to general access, no login has been set (other than the admin login); the goal is to allow any from the Public browsing our page to be able to view the gallery, if they select the link to do so. They are not presented with a login, so I guess whatever that default account would be then...

Without login you should not be able to edit anything. Can you share a link?

Best regards, Michael

The site is not live just yet; All the development is on my lab server. If you wish, I can send a link for remote access into the lab to see.

lol you know what? I started moving some of the extra content that was provided in the download out of the twg folder (everything is backed up, of course), and the folder edit menu is no longer presented...

you removed something in the iframe folder? This is possible for some features as I implemented some of them as they are only shown if the file is present.

Best regards, Michael

Hmm. Not sure if my edit went through...

As always Michael, many thanks for this product, and taking the time to respond. To start with responding, no.. nothing from the iframe folder... Mostly things like the examples folder, removing some of the extra language files I won't need.. that sort of thing...

But I did have what can be described as a complete newbie moment, which was all very rare, a little refreshing to know that I still have a lot to learn, and extremely embarrassing.

While I was in the testing, I was using the browser in privacy mode. I had 1 tab opened to the web page, and a separate tab opened to the admin page. When I found the edit menu had been removed, I had opened a different browser ('cause I was also trying to verify the gallery was loading in it), and found the edit menu for the folders had disappeared... yay! I thought it might be one of those extra pieces I had moved out... But no. My main browser still had it. Going in to the browser's debug window, I saw that it was being generated from within the iframe/i_titel.php file. Looking at the file itself, as you earlier stated, it would load if logged in as an authorized user... Which, through the other tab, I was... Closing this other tab removed the edit menu... (And here I always thought the tabs inside a browser running in privacy mode were also antonymous from each other.... Lesson learned)....

Anyways, as mentioned earlier, sorry for the bother. This thread can likely be closed. 🙂

In the pictures folder are a lot of configs. Maybe removing this can also cause this.

Best regards, Michael
