Hi there, I can't get any .PNG files to open in the same manner as .JPG files.  JPG files open when you click on the thumbnail.  PNG files get saved to the hard drive first and I don't know why.  Would you kindly reply and let me know how I can fix this?  I need my PNG images to open in a pop-up window instead of downloading to the local hard drive first.  Thanks.

Hi,

normally pngs should work like jpegs. Do you have an example url I can see this?

Best regards,

Michael

@admin I can't, it's not a family friendly site.  Could you perhaps tell me how I might be able to fix this in the config file rather than having me show you?

Hi, I have replied by e-mail. png is only used internally. You can rename the pngs to jpgs. This should work fine.

Best regards,

Michael

What? You're proposing I take hundreds of .PNG files and rename them all to .JPG just so they'll open in a window like JPG images?  That seems like a workaround, not a way to solve the problem.  This is cause enough to look for some other gallery software.  Thank you for your time.

Sorry. I looked at a wrong filter.  png works except a couple if internally used ones like folder.png an so on.

I have added a small png demo. So png work fine: http://tinywebgallery.com/demo3/twg_image/png

So what is you configuration?

go to the config.php -> $enable_download = true;

There are setting like $enable_direct_download
$open_as_popup
$click_on_popup_dl_image
$open_download_in_browser

...

if you put a jpg into the same folder . how does it behave?

Best regards,

Michael
