I purchased the enterprise licence in 2013 and have just had another chance to use this gallery.
Got everything installed and working however my images have the powered by TWG watermark and I can't remember how to remove this.

Also when I view the gallery on a mobile it opens with a black background as though in a different window, with a 'X' in the navigation bar, if I click the 'X' the gallery goes back to the correct view within the page on my site. How do I stop this and just display the galley within the webpage?

You have to disable the watermark and clean the cache. Watermark are not part of the registration .

About mobile. You can configure many mobile options. check config_internal.php
-> $twg_mobile_use_maximized_view = false;
