Hi I recently moved TWG to a new server and am getting this error on the flash uploader....

"Safemode is enabled. All actions for files in this folder are disabled."


I have checked and SafeMode is off on my server.

Its my own dedicated server so I can do what I need to make TWG work so please let me know your suggestions. Thanks!

seems like php is returning a wrong safe mode status.

or your folders are not writeable at all. you can modify the admin/upload/tfu_helper.php there is a check for safemode.

or you go to the tfu_readDir.php and serach for safemode - you only have to return a different value to make this work (&dir_create=true). But make sure then that your permissions are really o.k.

Changing &dir_create=false to &dir_create=true did the trick. Thanks!

can you call info.php? does it say that safe mode is off or on?

Says it is off. I checked permissions and everything. Not sure why its seeing safemode as on.

you said you changed

dir_create=false

then it's not safe mode (I might use one error message for this two things - I have to check this .) but your directory was simply not writeable.

what directory do you think is not writeable?

the one you want to upload - at least php thinks this .

yea not sure. I double checked permissions on all folders and files and have everything writable that needs to be. Either way the little code change made it work Thanks again!

hmm guess I spoke to soon. I went to upload pics today for the 1st time and am getting the safemode on error again. I rechecked all permissions and that php info is showing safemode as off. Also I checked in WHM and it says its off too. Is there another place in the code I can change? I looked at admin/upload/tfu_helper.php bu not sure what I need to change.

which error do you get - because when you upload the upload file does not care about dafemode anymore - if you don't have enough right to write a file is simply does not work and tells you this.

But only when I try and upload images. I can create folders and everything now. I am guessing there is a 2nd place in the code to diable the safemode check for file uploads?

after the upload is a refresh of the filelist - are files uploaded or not?
