how do I hide the albums and pictures if the person hasn't logged in?

you can protect them - completely hiding them is not possible.

in 1.7 you can make a global login - there the whole gallery is locked until the password is entered.

Is this planned ? I used hidden galleries in linpha, This way I could serve galleries to family or friends only with one installation, some galleries would be hared. Of course I could installe twg several times and use links....

Are you planing to implement this ?

You can use a different approach.

TWG supports a file called root.txt.

shows this.

root.txt hides higher levels. This means the user inside the gallery don't see higher levels.
and if you add the main albums to the hidden dirs it's close to what you want.

Hidden galleries for a user would actually a small problem because password protection is not connected to users right now.
I'll think about a good solution how this could be solved ;).
