I just want to say that this software is totally amazing and I do have one question to ask about it.

Is there any way of setting it up so that it asks a user for both a User ID and a password instead of just a password for private pages or private folders?

not yet - it's a planned feature of 1.8.

It's good to know that the function that I mentioned will be in a future version [I take it that 1.8 is the next version following the current one available?]

But the planned release date is as always open. There will be development versions as always. So simply check the forum once in a while (or register the rss feed) and maybe this is implemented before the final release ;).
