I want to set up my Joomla front end so that a user can log in and upload files with JFU to their 'own directories' (which is working fine right now) AND have them default to their 'own directories' with the same login to TWG (can't figure that one out) TWG is working fine as a 'stand-alone' in my Joomla site.

I'm trying to host a site where people can upload their images/video/audio and also view their (only) uploads when they want.

Having the users directory structure available as in TWG would be a great feature too.

Thanks,

Dan

Michael,

What I would like to do:

End goal is that logged in people can use my site to:

Store their images/videos/audio to directories they create
View their images/videos/audio from the directories they create

I've got JFU set up and working well for users to have their own directory to upload files

TWG is a great viewer, but I cannot figure out how to make it 'work' with JFU (Logged in people 'see' their JFU directories and files in TWG)

Thanks for the work with these components. They must be good if I can get them up and running.

Dan

So you want that in TWG all the uploaded images can be seen.

should TWG only show the images for the user or should TWG showing simply all files of all users?

You can configure JFU that way that the users directly upload to the pictures directory of TWG (or tell TWG where the main folder is).

Michael,

Each user only access their files for both upload and viewing.

I'm setting up a site for people in the merchant marine to be able to have a place to store their 'stuff' and then view it from anywhere in the world, which is where merchant mariners find themselves many times :)

But I want there to be privacy between the users files.

If JFU and TWG worked together that way it would be a fantastic solution.

Thanks again,

Dan

TWG does not have something like user based protected galleries (this is already on my todo list)

You can link directly to the folder of the user and by having a root.txt in the folder it looks like it's own little gallery. But in the url the user could still remove the parameter for the album and then comes to the main folder.
