Post subject:  Thumbnail display differences?

Okay I can't quite figure out which config setting is going to help this issue. I've tried a couple but I don't seem to be matching the right one to the problem.

I have a couple galleries. When the user clicks on one of the galleries with say 60 or so images, it then displays 3 thumbnail images and options to move to other sets. I assume this is the "overview of the gallery."

If the user then clicks on an image to see that specific one, it displays fine, but if the user steps back to the "Overview of the gallery" it then displays 16 thumbnails (4x4) instead of 3.

Also the following settings (which I thought might make a difference) don't seem to do anything

Number of thumbnails in a row
Number of thumbnails in a column

I can't figure out why the difference.

Also (perhaps related) this might be a bug:

In the admin side in "Images settings"

The help for "Columns on the overview page" reads "Number of galleries which are show in a row on a page" --- I think the help is wrong here??

The help for "Rows on the overview page" reads "Number of galleries which are show in a column on a page" -- I think this may be wrong too..

Last, I didn't see this anywhere, but if one wanted to skip the thumbnail overview all together and just jump from the gallery overview right into the image "filmstrip" view, could that be done?

These are my my config settings

$image_file_is_multi = true;
$autodetect_filenames_as_captions=false;
$show_tips_overview=false;
$show_wii_buttons = true;
$enable_download = true;
$php_include = true;
$install_dir = "photogallery/";
$disable_frame_adjustment_ie=false;
$twg_slide_type = 'FALSE';
$default_is_fullscreen=false;
$show_border='FALSE';
$show_optimized_slideshow=false;
$enable_maximized_view=true;
$show_maximized_slideshow=true;
$disable_nav_sel=true;
$show_warning_message_at_maximized_view=true;
$enable_album_tree = false;
$show_tips_overview=false;
$disable_nav_big_sel=true;
$show_tips_overview=false;
$show_tips_thumb=false;
$show_tips_image=true;

overview page settings is when you have folders displayed. You define the rows and columns there.

The page you talking about is the thumbnail page.

TWG tries to display as much images as possilble. if oyu use php include you should disable the autodetection and set fixed number here (like described in the howto).

And the help is o.k - just not very clear ;).
Columns = galleries which are show in a row
Galleries means folders here.

Simply set skip_thumbnail_page

Post subject:  No of pics in a row and column

I tried both: 1) no config php and 2) config php with 6 columns and 99 rows.

Both do not result in what I need.

My aim: only one frontpage with all images in as many columns as can be displayed in the browser window and unlimited rows.

What I end up with:

1) No config php
- first its correct
- but when I clicked on one image to see the detail page...
- ... and then return to the home page...
- ... then I only have 4 pics in one row and navigation beneath it

2) With config php
> set to 6 columns and 99 rows
> skip thumbnail page
= I only have 4 pics in one row and navigation beneath it

What am I doing wrong.

I will look into that, heute später am Tag.

Danke sehr
