Hi there

I had successfully setup TWG to handle my huge photo archive.
Almoust seamless integration Joomla was no great deal.

But for more better integration it would be nice if different pairs of configfiles could be handled within one installation.

In other words, is there a way to specify the name of my_config.php and my_style.css as an commandline option ?

best rgds

where do you want to specify this?

you could easily load differeny my_config.pp file by extending the config.php that loads this file.
For the style you would have to use different skins. Therefore no problem either.

Ok, thanks on the end of config.php I can see, that the name of my_config.php is hardcoded.
So if I want to support different ones I have to patch twg.

My intention arised, because from joomla I have a couple of links to twg, each one is pointig to different directories. (sub-galleries)
This works fine so far.
But for presentation of some particular sub-galleries it might be usefull to have spezialized settings for config and style. eg. thumbnail size & position, basedir, cachedir etc.

Also all this stuff you had added to support twg running in/not in an iframe might be solved much easier if you can parse the config.php as an u r l parameter.

Anyway, Iam very happy with twg.
I spent about one month to figure out which gallery fits best to my requirements. Conclusion was twg is the best one.
Thanks a lot for this nice program.

best regards
bb

Just another thing:
You can have config.php and style.css in every directory. Means each folder can be configured completly independent like the demo on the website.

Have fun using TWG,
Michael

True. So here's a slightly different situation. I have 2 users (admin - myself) and a friend. My friend has a different 'root' directory. TWG is integrated into PmWiki. This uses some custom markup to call the twg content (.... /twg/index.php?twg_album=$1 ....)

This always uses the default root folder "pictures" because that's defined in config.php. But my friend only has access to "pictureskim" (defined in the twg admin user section). However, this cannot be shown in PmWiki as it assumes that pictures is the root folder (as per config.php).

How can I change the root folder through a URL?
- change markup to /twg/index.php?twg_album=$1?base_dir=pictureskim (for example)
- call a different config file through this URL that contains a different base_dir

Cheers!
DJ

There is no url parameter for that. You could acutally simply extend config.php and read the parameter and add this to the base dir.

make sure to make this parameter secure for attacks - in your case I would only allow certain strings!
