Hello!

I want my visitors to be able to browse my galleries, and view my images in the regular display size. Though I do not want everyone to be able to download the full resolution image. Is there some way to password protect just the download function? Or some suggestions on other ways to approach this issue?

right now - no - you would have to add this functionality by yourself.
instead linking to the dl directly you would have to ask for a password.
