After I got my twg 1.7.0 gallery back to work due to a memory limit by my hoster yesterday I had a really cool idea:
Upgrade to 1.7.1

Since the update I don't get a "home |" link.
There is a file in my pictures folder and also in my root folder.
And yes, I read howto 21.
Files are present and readable/writable from webserver.

Any ideas?

it should still work - only a little bit different.
And why do you have 2 root.txt files?

Only for testing-
When I remove the file from root folder and only have one at pictures folder it works!

Quote from howto21:
"Since 1.7 you can put a root.txt in the main folder of TWG as well. Then the link is shown for all folders!"

With 1.7 it worked this way. With 1.7.1 it only works when the file is placed in pictures folder. I tried it two times now.

found it - On my environment this was working but not for all. I fixed this. Will be available in the next tiny update.
