Is there any way for my visitors to click on a gallery and go straight to the page with the navigation, bypassing the thumbnail page? I found the setting for "if it's not necessary" but how do i make it unnecessary all the time?

Also i'm trying to configure the lightbox options but i can't figure out which is the "topX" page.

Thanks.

yes.

Simply set

$skip_thumbnail_page = true;

I will add this setting to the backend in one of the next versions.

TopX page it the page where you see the x most views images. By default it's the Top 13 link.

Thank you very much and since i'm here is there an easy way to move an installation to production server? I have the index page all chopped to bits and moved around... can i just move it and run the install again?

Oops sorry meant to say i need to move it to the production server, put it in a subdirectory so client can fill it up w/ pictures, then move it to its final place. while maintaining the structure of index.php.

Great product btw, solid programming and well thought out.

Thanks for everything.

You only have to copy everything to production and make the content of the directory of the xml, counter, cache directory read/writable,

EDIT: Right, nevermind everything i wrote.

I forgot to put the relevant path info and all that into the config, so my include didn't work right.

Only now it's even worse because i thought it wanted a complete server path and wrote it as such:

/home/(mywebsite)/public_html/v.2.0/gallery/

This has confused the heck outa the gallery, none of the pictures show up, no stylesheet, and worst of all i can't access the admin to try something else.

EDIT #2: i found the config file and changed to relative path and all is OK, but why didn't the absolute path work?

One last thing i hope. A bunch of images, (provided by client), do not display in the Flash navigation, instead saying "loading" forever.

If i run these images through Photoshop and re-save them then they display just fine. I'm guessing it's to do with something client is doing during image processing but i couldn't find anything unusual or different in the image properties. What do i tell her to do, specifically, to make all her images display properly?

absolute paths do not work because many paths are build dynamically (cache, xml ...) and there is no way to make it work absolute and relative at the same time. I anted to make it easy to copy everything without changing any paths and therefore I choose the relative way.

After saving they work fine? Then this could only be a problem with gdlib of php which cannot process the images properly. You can check if image magick is available on your server. The at least the thumbnails and the detail images would work fine.
