Hi,

Thanks for your great share. In fact, I was testing on it and encountered few problems as shown below:-

1) CPU are kept 100% usage when loading or scrolling photo in any mode to view (e.g. flash, html)
2) I tried to view what's the top processes are reserved in my NAS server resources during that time, I found there are two priorities processes is always reserving higher CPU time at that moment such as "apache" and "qlogengined"
3) Every time to view an image, I found loading... word appears when I clicking on scroll bar to switch in between photos.

your problem is most likely that the thumbnail and small images are not geberated yet. This hasto be done once - because otherwise your server would have to generate each image again and again.

Go to the backend and at generate cache you see how many cache images are not done yet - right now they are generated on the fly and this takes you cpu.

I checked in admin console, all images were generated with cache image. All tuning procedures are performed and followed but problem still exists.

have you read the howto about optimizing TWG for speed? Because for your cpu this might be really important.

Yes, I followed all of them before that such as "serialize_dir_data", "disable the colage of a folder or cache_dirs"...etc. options.

I was wondering if I use this web gallery to replace for my current photo gallery would create more complains, my ability may not handle this because I'm not a good programming person to troubleshoot.

BTW, I like this web gallery on presentations and I would pleasure that I can use it to replace my current photo gallery with more easier to manage.

can you please check if the images are really taken from the cache.

select an image with the browser with the right mouse button and select "view image". Then in the url should be a path to an image in the cache.

TWG is for sure not lightweight anymore but you get a lot of features and compared to galleries with a similar feature set it is really fast.

Seems like back to normal now... I don't understand what happen there and I still wondering when I put another photos onto the web would happen again ...
I will keep monitoring on it when I found anything I can share with you.

Good. You only have to remember that for new images the thumbnail and the small image are generated once when they are needed the first time.
