I was looking through your sample galleries, and I couldn't tell if you manually created all the captions...

My images use hyphens (-) as word separators. Therefore my captions look something like: asda-story-art-4. Can I automatically replace the hyphens with spaces in captions? How?

No. You would have to do this in the code. Should be only one place in the readxml.inc.php.

I have a lot of captions in IPTC data or I really use spaces in the file names.
