I have a registered version (1.5.5) of the gallery at #removed_broken_link (displayed using iframes) ... however, since each gallery is accessed from a link in the navigation, I replaced the up arrow with a 1x1 gif in an effort to prevent visitors from reaching the top overview page of all galleries.

However, now when a visitor clicks on a thumbnail in a gallery, they need to click on the image *again* to view the lightbox version *and* they cannot return to the gallery overview page (we disabled the DHTML slider) .. .they are stuck with the small navigation, which may be inconvenient with galleries that contain large number of images.

Is there any way to configure TWG to go directly from the thumbnail overview to show the lightbox when a thumb is clicked? That way, we can eliminate an unneccesary click and the up arrow issue (to avoid the overview page of all galleries) would become irrelevant.

TIA,

Russ

sure - check the lightbox settings in the config.
set
activate_lightbox_thumb_full

to true will make the lightbox appear when clicking on the thumb (before it only worked when you clikc on the small icon in the left upper corner of a thumb)

Thanks ... two issues after doing that, though:

(i) The lightbox used to show an image that was the full width of the iframe; now it only shows a much smaller area.

(ii) In Firefox, it worked for the first gallery, when switching (through the site navigation, not TWG navigation) to another gallery the lightbox stopped working altogether, and the number of thumbnails changed from 3 per row (as set in the configuration) to autodetect to 5 (the maximum number that will fit in the iframe), even though autdetect is set to "false". I cannot reproduce the same problem in IE7 ...

Any help or suggestions appreciated,

Russ

Hi,

check

(i)
$use_original_on_thumbspage

if this is set to false it will use the detail image on the later page because this is already generated and therefore much faster to load.
set this to true - then the same images as on the detailpage should be loaded

(ii)
check the bandwidth icon - maybe it simply swtichend to low bandwidth mode - then the low_ settings in the config are used ... lightbox is deactiveted by default in the low_bandwidth .. mode.
