Hello,

my gallery start file has a text that is longer than the one that is displayed. See #removed_broken_link In what file and what line of that file do I change the number of text lines or the number of characters displayed?

The actual text can be found in #removed_broken_link/pic ... der_de.txt and #removed_broken_link respectively. I guess I am not revealing too much of a secret here

EDIT: OK, I found it, limit is 500 characters. I put a footer there, does not look so good. I just wanted it to appear on the first page only

If you want do display a text only on the first page:

check out overview.htm (see howto 3) - this is included below the gallery images in the main screen.

I have increased the text from 500 to 1000 in my local build 1.3c will have this - but I'm working on some skins right now -

If you want to change this localy - search for the 500 in the inc/filefunctions.inc.php and change the 500 to 1000 - and save it - it's in there a couple of times - I think you will find the right spots .

Hi,

Just checked your folder_de.txt on my local machine ....

It cannot work. You have to have everything in one line !
use <br> for a new line!!

your file has 2 lines - I only read the first line! (500 or 1000 characters of that line!).

But overview.htm should work too - just rename footer.htm to overview.htm.

Thank you so much for your patience with me! Now it works perfectly well the way I wanted it. I don't like the overview.htm option so much because putting the desired text in the folder.txt and folder_de.txt file respectiveley makes it language-dependent. Now I got a clean interface and am very happy with your gallery. Do you accept donations?
