Php photo gallery TWG | JFUploader | TWG Flash upload | WFU | Forum

I'm going to be using the uploader integrated with Joomla/Community Builder to allow my registered users the ability to upload phots/videos. I would like to place the upload files in a different folder so as to able to attach 'ownership' (unless there is a better way). I need to use the existing Joomla login/account structure. Is there any reason I cannot locate the uploads to user specific directories? I realize I will need to make some code mods, but will I break things?

Also, slightly off topic ... is there any plan for adding tags to uploaded files?

you can use any directory you like - simply set the $folder in the ftu_config.
I actually do this in TWG all the time - the standalone version simply does not have the usermanagement of TWG (one of the next updates of TFU will hav a small basic user managment where you can specify username/password/direcory).
But this is actually only for people who don't have a real user management.

Integration in Jommla is quite easy then because you simply check the login and set the upload dir in fu_config.php.

About tags, support for tags is one of the feature of TWG 1.6 - but I'm not quite sure which kind of tags you would like to add during upload - MY plan is to read existing tags from the image and that you can add tags with TWG - I don't plan to modify the original image!
