Hi,

Installed on 1.5 and it was working fine. Sessions was set to database

Host recompiled me to :
suphp
apache2

Uploader at that point broke with the error at the end of this post.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the same error comes up.

I have tried turning sessions to "none" but it breaks my site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

JFU needs a file based session even if Joomla is set to database. Therefore you have to set the session save path right.

If you configure your php right it should work. Right now the folder /tmp/ is not writeable to store the session info.

Have you tried to create the .htaccess file on the upload page? There is a text below the flash where you can create this file. with suphp this is normally needed.

Changed permissions
checked session path
created .htaccess

still not working
new error box and still getting session errors

TWG Flash Uploader requires at least Flash 8 and Javascript activated.
Please update your browser.

If this is not the reason most likely you have created the .htaccess file on the config page. Please go to the config page and remove this file because your server does not understand the configuration in .htaccess. If the flash still does not work please go the JFU website.

This software is great and my clients love using it.

Got it working - Needed to clear the cache of the browser.
