Is there a way of making all links in an embedded iFrame open in a new tab or window?

If you are on the same domain or you an use the external workaround: Yes.
Then you can change link targets:

Thanks for prompt reply Michael. Yes the iFrame content is on the same domain.

I'm not sure I fully understand, sorry to be thick:-

Where do I include the code:-
Quote:
<script>
var iframe_redirect_url = "http://www.tinywebgallery.com/blog/advanced-iframe/advanced-iframe-pro-demo";
var change_iframe_links = "#iframe-navigation a";
var change_iframe_links_target = "_blank";
</script>

No - if you are on the same domain you can simply set it in the shortcode. The script is only needed for the external workaround.
See the example above.

In the example you quote the shortcode contains the following:-

Quote:
advanced_iframe securitykey="your key"
use_shortcode_attributes_only="true"
src="http://examples.tinywebgallery.com/example11/example.html"
id="advanced_iframe"
height="1000"
width="900"
show_part_of_iframe="true"
show_part_of_iframe_x="22"
show_part_of_iframe_y="85"
show_part_of_iframe_width="187"
show_part_of_iframe_height="121"
show_part_of_iframe_style="border: 2px solid #ff0000;"

... I'm sure I'm being a complete noobie but I'm at a loss to see which one relates to the opening of links.

You have to look at example 10 if you are on the same domain!

I'm still not having much luck.

I'm trying to make sure that at:-

http://www.yarnwhispering.co.uk/cal-test/

... the "Test Link" URL opens in a new target. I can see that the div that contains the link is class="CalEvent". How do I phrase the shortlink to achieve this? Nothing I've tried works.

I don't know how your shortcode does look like.
