Hello,
Need some assistance I have a new development website that contains an iframe from an external site.

I need to be able to link from different pages on the website to specific pages within the iframe located on this url http://mysite.soapcratecreative.com/shop/

The original iframe url is https://mysite.epicoranywhere.com/

I have managed to get the shortcode working via the plugin to display the iframe on the page but I can't seem to figure out how to create a link from a page on the parent site (http://whiteslumber.soapcratecreative.com) to a specific page on the iframe for instance: https://subdomain.theirsite.com/Products.aspx?pg=136&pl1=3&sort=StockClassSort&direction=asc

I was trying to link to it like this:
http://mysite.soapcratecreative.com/shop/?url=/Products.aspx?pg=136&pl1=3&sort=StockClassSort&direction=asc

But that doesn't seem to be working, the iframe loads but it doesn't seem to be receiving the string I want to add on the end.

my shortcode for the iframe itself looks like this:
[advanced_iframe securitykey="omitted"]

Am I missing something or have something written up incorrectly? I'm having trouble understanding how to accomplish this.

Please advise.

Thanks!

so http://mysite.soapcratecreative.com/shop/ can handle the parameter url?

If I add
http://mysite.soapcratecreative.com/shop/?url=/Products.aspx?pg=136&pl1=3&sort=StockClassSort&direction=asc to my browser the website is not found!
also normally you need to encode /Products.aspx?pg=136&pl1=3&sort=StockClassSort&direction=asc as this is the parameter for url=

Best, Michael

Sorry,
I had to move the site to a different subdomain.

The iframe is being posted on the shop page here:
http://whiteslumber.soapcratecreative.com/shop/

The actual contents of the iframe by default is going here:
https://whitesportal.epicoranywhere.com/

Utilizing the smartcode:
[advanced_iframe securitykey="c187d6aeb673bfafeeacb36a69cdc9e2b32fae34" url_forward_parameter="ALL" change_iframe_links_target="_self"]

I want to make links that I can place on any page on the http://whiteslumber.soapcratecreative.com/ site to direct to pages within the iframe.

Example:
I've created a link on the Departments page here:
http://whiteslumber.soapcratecreative.com/departments/

I'm trying to goto the shop page and get the iframe to display the contents of this page:
https://whitesportal.epicoranywhere.com/Products.aspx?pg=136&pl1=3&sort=StockClassSort&direction=asc

The link I wrote on the Department page that I can't get to work correctly is:
<a href="http://whiteslumber.soapcratecreative.com/shop/?url=/Products.aspx?pg=136&pl1=3&sort=StockClassSort&direction=asc">Test link Aristokraft</a>

Am I missing something?

Sorry not used to this type of write up.

Thanks!

Sorry,

I still understand your setup completely.
What is the rest of the configuration? The shortcode does not even has the src set.

I assume you want to pass parameters to the iframe from the parent - right?

please first read my last post first.
http://mysite.soapcratecreative.com/shop/?url=/Products.aspx?pg=136&pl1=3&sort=StockClassSort&direction=asc

has 2 ? and also &. You need to encode this as this is the content of url=

and you you want to pass a parameter or do you want that /Products.aspx?pg=136&pl1=3&sort=StockClassSort&direction=asc is openend inside the iframe?

Because I don't know what you page in the iframe can handle.

Best, Michael
