Hello. I would like to know if there the ability to locally play video files in "f4v" format. Wich is "flv" encoded with video codec h.264. & audio in AAC?
I need it because "f4v" format is supported by iPhones.

Please rename the files to flv and use the incldued flv player. It should support this file format.

If you like you can povide me with an example video. then I can also test this and it if works alow this extension by default.

Best, Michael

Tried to change the extension to "flv", as you said. But unfortunately, the file still does not play in browser.
I recorded test video file, which you can download at this link https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/40087533/sample_1100.rar
I would be very grateful for the help

There is another intresting question. I've heard there's a new free flash player - "Strobe Media Player". http://www.osmf.org/strobe_mediaplayback.html
It can play files in "f4v" format without problems. I would like to try to replace the existing player, wich is now included in the gallery, with this one. And allow this extension too.
Could you please tell me how to do it?

There are 2 places you have to modify. the direct loading and the Ajax loading.
It is best you look in the code where I use the "mediaplayer.swf".
add a new section with $video_player="SMP" for example and the use the existing parameters...
