I had to make the twg folder 777 in order to get the gallery to work. Should I now put a .htaccess in this folder?

I uploaded my .htaccess file twg folder and now I cannot call index.php.

the .htaccess file was as follows:

-- start
<Files .htaccess>
order allow,deny
deny from all
</Files>

IndexIgnore */*
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www.)?domain.com/.*$ [NC]
RewriteRule .(gif|jpg|txt|xml|png)$ - [F]
-- end

I then overwrote that file with the .htaccess file provided in the TWG .htaccess zip file and all is OK.

Please advise way the first didnt work?

Hi There -

The first one I tried was the one I posted above with the domain name changed for my site. After which I could not load ../twg/Index.php.

I then loaded the .htaccess file you provided in your zip file and let me access as normal.

Is the .htaccess file you provided adequate for security for my site, or do I need to get the other version above to work?

I don't know your site ;).

my .htaccess disallows the access of the txt files.

The script itself is already secure because each parameter is check for possible attacks.
