Hi

i have recently installed a 3rd party app which displays files the user has uploaded in their JFU folder works nicely.

However i dont want to use their file uploader application as the files being submitted to my website are very large ( 50-100mb), and there is no status bar.

So all i need is to direct a text link under the application header in the profile, to the JFU page.

here's the CRoute line of code as it is:

Code:
<a class="manage-filesharing" href="<?php echo CRoute::_('index.php?option=com_community&view=profile&userid=' . $this->_user->id . '&task=app&app=filesharing');?>"><?php echo JText::_('MANAGE FILES');?></a>

What can i substiture the CRoute path with?

I have it setup that all users in the frontend are in the same profile ID of 2

Is there any other info you need?

thanks

Ben

not sure what you want to arcive - do you want to link to a totally different page?
Then include JFU with the plugin to your page.

basically that line of code is a link in the users profile page that directs it to the 3rd party app uploader, i wan to change it to the JFUploader page - eg the one on the main menu.

I tried using the following ( based on the menu link):

Code:
<a class="manage-filesharing" href="<?php echo CRoute::_('index.php?option=com_joomla_flash_uploader');?>"><?php echo JText::_('MANAGE FILES');?></a>

but the link went to the page, but on that page it said it was undefined to which user group/ profile to use. Maybe ive not done something with the plugin? or missed a variable. Im a real php novice if that explains anything... :)

Thanks!

still got a problem thou...i get the message :

You have not specified a profile or group id in the parameters at the menu item you created for JFU or for your plugin. For the menu item you have to do this on the right side where basic parameters can be entered. Please enter a valid id there. For more information click on the 'Help' button of JFU and read 'How to use the Joomla Flash Uploader in the front end'.

I have specified the in the main menu link that the profile is 2 ( default frontend for all users)

So my understandig is that it thinks there is no user logged in... I only have 2 profiles in JFU - 1 is admin the other is the default one. Any ideas why this message appears?

Sorry...and thanks again. I'll wait for you in the morning lol

do you have a menu item with JFU where a valid profile id is specified? Because the menu item is needed to load the parameters needed.

pm me a url.
Can you use the menu item and the flash is shown?

hi Micheal - sorry busy week!

I think i have the setup incorrect...

there is a menu item, but i've just noticed that every time a user goes to the menu item it logs them out... but still lets them uplaod until the file is uploaded, then tells them you need to be logged in.

Any chance i can send you an admin login so you can look at it please? This is driving me nuts lol

Cheers
