Hi all,

I found a problem due to caching on pictures folder recently, it support to be cached every time I put new photos on pictures folder or can do manual generate cache images. But now it seems like no action was taken even though I click "Generate Cache images" button to cache images manually. Why? Does anyone know what happen there, any resolution for this case. I have no idea at the moment and I did How-to 43 and 45 before posting my questions.

Let’s to summarize my questions:-

1) Found it can’t do cache those images even though I “delete all image cache” then click on “generate cache images” button manually;
2) I saw the caching process was performing and the “not yet generated cache images:” no. was keep running automatically but no cached images was found in my web album afterwards;
3) Also found slow performance to visit by visitor login or administator login that because the caching process was performing on each album when I open, so it get slow;
4) As result, there are no cached images was shown on each photo album.

Hi,

I tried to unterstand what you have written but it's very confusing.
The "generate cache" does not work for all images if strage enodings are in the file names.

But even if the images are not genereated right away - they are only generated once - so only your first user should have slow performance.

Sorry to made confusing on you.

Actually I have deleted all cache images from console and then I try to do rebuild cache images via console but it's not working at the moment.

That's why are causing slow performance during opening photo album as you mentioned that.

There are no error on debug log, so I have no idea how to fix this problem. Please advice. Thanks.

it doesn't work to re-generate cache images by manual clicking on "Generate Cache Images".

What does not work mean - please try to provide as many details as possible otherwise this will be a long thread.

no cached image files shown in the cache folder.

Sorry - I told you to give me MORE details. Can you click something - how many images are listed as not generated ...

come on - it's not that hard to write more than one line ...
