The main use for this is a website for school class where i need to grand upload privileges only to teachers and admin accounts. Any suggestion?
Then i would need to set a default folder to upload avoiding file spreading all over the host  i cant find yet a way to do sadly :S maybe editing some conf files in component/module folder :?: help plz :D

Hi,

This stuff you like is actually really easy to setup. Create 2 profiles with different rights. If you only want to enable download you have to remove all allowed file extensions at this profile.
And the upload folder can be set in a profile as well.

And if you like to have everything on the same menu entry join the two profiles and use groups. See the help or the video tutorials for more information.

by using groups and the default group is then used for all users that are not specified.
