For a video competition i thought it would be easy to use this component. However, one of the tings with a competition is that it runs for a limited time span. And there lies the problem. I could not find a simple way to secure the upload component within a time span of lets say, 3 weeks.

Now, i am suggesting this feature to the builders, and ask the users if they would find this a useful feature....

Easy way?

This is really simple. You can specify in Joomla how long an article should be displayed.
Include the flash with the plugin to a page and specify from when to when this page is diaplayed. And after that displays a different page under the same menu item. Display a category at the menu link...

Ok, i may have overlooked something, but i cant find a way to do this at first glance. Do you mean to say i need to write my own plugin?

No,

JFU has a plugin also (see the help page how to use it).

And then simply create an article with the flash included and set the times when the article should be displayed.
