You have to check your server!

Lot of server don't allow 777 anymore and then you get a 500 = server error. You get the exact error message in the log file of the server.

Hi Michael... changed the permissions of the files to 755... and got the warning that there could not be a workaround... went to the link FAQs #12 and manually created a session_cache folder... but still get the authentication error...

There is now a tfu.log folder and these are the last few lines of it...

Or it is possible that the session handling of the server is not o.k. Therefore TFU simulates a basic session handling and uses the session_cache folder for that.
03.08.2010 22:58:51 - Directory session_cache could be created! TFU does now an internal session handling. Delete the directory session_cache to turn the internal handling off.
03.08.2010 22:58:51 - It seems that the session handling of the server is not o.k. TFU already tried a workaround that does not seem to work. TFU deleted the session_cache folder. Maybe it was created because of a wrong request! Please go to http___www.tinywebgallery.com/de/tfu/web_faq.php#12. If this does not help please report this in the forum to find a solution!

none of this lines is calling tfu_login.php.

Do you have entries with tfu_login.php.

Have changed permissions for the admin/components folder to 755 via the file manager in the cpanel...

But you don't get an error 500 now anymore.

I had the same issue and changing the permissions to 644 fixed the problem. 777 & 755 never worked for me.
