I use the image collage for folder icons. Is it possible to have this function recursive if there are no images in the folder (i.e. only additional folders)? I checked the config file and found mention of this kind of functionality if you use topx for the collage but I couldn't figure out how to make it work if I don't use topx.

I'm at 1.7.8.1 (haven't had a chance to upgrade yet).

This is not implemented for the collage at all. TWG can create a folder image recursively based on the topx. But not the collage. scanning the directories for this with the available option is very time consuming and therefore I did not implement this.

What exactly? - for the collage you cannot do this.

search for 'recursive' if you mean the recursive folder image...

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant to set up what you were talking about, not make the collage recursive.

I searched for recursive and found $autocreate_folder_image_recursive, but the description sounds like there is quite a bit of overhead for this.

I also found $autocreate_folder_image, which the descriptions says "If a folder has no images but only folders then a random image from the subdirs is used!". This sounds like exactly what I need. I tried it, but didn't get recursive images. I takes longer first time into a directory, but if there are only folders in it and no images at that level I still only get a folder icon. Did I misinterpret the description?

You have to set both to true and wait a little bit until the topx cache files are created. I use this files because then I don't have to go through all folders.

The views counter has to activated.
