Hi,

I like this component, but i am stucked with the limitation regarding uploading file.

I need to be able a large amount of files (more than 20) and sometimes with big size (more than 3 MB)

I want to know if JFU is able to handle this ? if yes how ?

Regards

Hi,

20 is not much and 3 MB not large :).

If you register JFU this is not problem at all if your server settings are o.k.

if your connection is stable and your timeouts o.k. than it should be o.k. JFU has even a session refresh so you should stay logged in.

The only restriction with the session refresh is when you have JFU on your frontpage because then you would reload the flash parameters. But normally this is not the case ;).

All registrations will work. You just have to check which fits your needs best.

Sure. If you are using it on a private or non commercial site.

My host advises that 32 mb is the largest they will allow in php.ini. Is it still possible to up and download larger files somehow just using the 32 mb as a buffer with JFU or must I change hosts (or software)? What alternatives might be available to me?

you can split the files by e.g. the file split applet I provide on the site and let JFU assemble it again. This is supported by TFU.

If your hoster does not allow bigger uploads than 32 MB then this is a hard limit you can only change if you change your hoster.

Currently I don't know a software which splits files during upload. With Java-Applets this would be technically possible.
