I've just installed tinywebgallery at http://www.chiranjeeviblog.com/photos/ and added url rewrite code to .htaccess
but it doesnt work on litespeed server(its not apache)

is there anyway to make it work on litespeed

this is what i added to .htaccess

Code:
RewriteEngine on
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^(.*)twg_album/(.*)$ $1photos/index.php?twg_album=$2 [L,R]
RewriteRule ^(.*)twg_image/(.*)/(.*)$ $1photos/index.php?twg_album=$2&twg_show=$3 [L,R]

also, what file to edit so that page title changes.
right now its photo galleries - album name - file name

i would like file name - album name - photo galleries

My first question is - what do you expect?

TWG does not create seo friendly urls as output. You only can use seo friendly e.g. on your page and they will be rewritten then to work with TWG.

I just checked. I removed the stuff from my .htaccess. So now it is back again and working fine.

So
http://www.tinywebgallery.com/demo/twg_ ... exif/1.jpg
will be rewritten to
http://www.tinywebgallery.com/demo/inde ... show=1.jpg

How it should be.

TWG does no generate this urls as I wrote - The .htaccess is used to translate from a SEO url to the needed url.

how are seo urls generated in the first place ?
anyway twg is showing urls as http://www.tinywebgallery.com/demo/inde ... show=1.jpg with default installation

then what was the point in writing that #44 faq about adding code to .htaccess

if anyone reads faq#44, they get an impression of what i thought.

what you say is the opposite

you dont need that .htaccess faq at all when default twg is working as you thought

The .htacces was provided by miguel who was using this nice seo link on his website and in his newsletter.
Therefore I added a faq for this.

If TWG would generate this links by default then there would also be a setting in TWG to enable such links.
I'm planning to enable this for the main click path (thumbnail and detailview).
But this is planned after I'm done with the seo optimization of the website itself.

Best, Michael

Hi created the links manually. And then the .htaccess works fine.
As I wrote - I currently do seo for my site (forum, blog, site.) and for TWG I will also add basic seo support (main click path). So each thumbnail and detailpage will have a url in the format miguel does create manually.

2.nd question. In the inc/head.inc.php you can modify this easily.

I already started the TWG does generate this urls. Looks good so far. But
many, many, many places where I have to change stuff.

I think I will cover the main pages with seo friendly urls because this are the imporant ones for search engines and users.

Best, Michael
