Hi Michael,

First, AIP is simply awesome. I would have never known so much could be done using iframes until I purchased your WP plugin. Congrats! :)

Ok, I'm not using the shortcode for this iframe, but for you to know the configuration here is the shortcode I would use:

Code:
[advanced_iframe securitykey="********************" use_shortcode_attributes_only="true" src="http://.........com" width="100%" height="100%" scrolling="no" id="advanced_iframe" allowfullscreen="true" show_iframe_loader="true" enable_responsive_iframe="true" resize_on_element_resize="#frmMain" enable_external_height_workaround="true" ]

Parent website: http://www.segurosgcenlinea.com
iFrame website: http://.........com

My dilema is that when I configure the resize_on_element_resize="#frmMain" an animated gif that originates on the iFrame website disappears and the iframe goes blank for a couple of seconds, then the animated gif appears and after the new information is loaded, the iframe is resized correctly.

Since the data after filling up the initial form takes a long time to appear, if the animated gif is not shown, people might think that it got stuck or something so I really need the original animated gif to appear.

For you to understand what I mean, you can first fill the form but not in the iframe, but opening it directly on your browser so you can see the animated gif: http://.........com

Data you can use to test:

Código Postal: 64000
Año: 2012
Marca: HONDA
Linea: CIVIC
Descripción: CIVIC EX SEDAN CLIMA VIDRIOELEC AUT 4 CIL 4 PTS

Click on the "Obtener Mejores Precios" orange button that should appear after you fill all the fields above (don't forget to type the "Codigo Postal") and you should see the page go grey and an animated gif displaying "Buscando las mejores ofertas". After around 30 seconds (wait as long as you have to, it might take longer), new information will appear with 4 insurance company options.

Now do the same filling the form with the same fields but directly in the parent site http://www.segurosgcenlinea.com/

After clicking on the "Obtener Mejores Precios" orange button, you should notice that the site goes grey and the animated gif appears for a fraction of a second and then everything goes white inside the iframe. After about 30 seconds, the animated appears for 1 or 2 seconds and the data appears, resizing the iframe correctly. If you click one of the green "Seleccionar seguro" buttons, you will notice that the iframe resizes correctly again when the next section is dynamically loaded.

Again, my dilema is just those around 30 seconds that the original animated gif (not AIP animated gif) is not showing. I told the guys that run the iframed site and they told me that it's not them, it must be something on my side that is causing the gif to disappear.

Can you please help me with this?

If you need login info to my WP or anything else, let me know where I can send it privately.

Thanks Michael!

Best regards,

Sergio

Hi,

I just tested http://gconline.seguofertas.com/ not in an iframe.
When there the loader appears try to resize the window and then the loader dos also disappear!

So without an iframe at all. Maybe the resize the iframe does trigger causes the same behavior.

So you might ask the other guys why the first problem does happen.

Best,
Michael

Hi Michael,

You are right, the moment the browser window changes size inside or outside the iframe, the animated gif and everything else disappears. The developer is already working on this.

Thanks for your assistance :)

Regards,

Sergio
