I've been reading the instructions on how to embed a youtube video, but call me stupid, I've spent hours trying to get it to work and I'm getting nowhere. Can anyone give me step by step instructions

for example if I cant to create a folder called "video" in "pictures" and embed a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuWruKLbDvo what do I need to do?

What do I put in the video.php file?
What .jpg file do I need to create and what do I call it to create a preview image?

use the video.php from my demo - the youtube folder.
video.php has to be in the folder where the video should be.

there are already a couple of youtube examples in there.

just rename one preview image to

IuWruKLbDvo.jpg

I'm very new to this and hope you don't mind the newby question.
I'm just not getting it on how to enter the youtube url.
That was it!!! Now to figure out where to get the jgp preview for the thumb nail.
ie:I have
#removed_broken_link
and renamed the default EdNnEwk6bz8.jpg to VKU-zQh5Mvc.jpg.
where does the url go? in the video.php or config.php?
could you inform me how to step by step?

on further inspection, the video.php uses the VKU-zQh5Mvc.jpg to give a value to V creating or completing the youtube url?

Hi,

have you read the howto? It's explainded there in detail.
and the example in the demo has already the right video.php - you simply have to e.g. copy the preview from youtube and rename it properly .
