Hi,

As I'm now a registered user I thought I'd enabled Lytebox but have been experiencing some issues with it working properly in Firefox 3.

I have the following settings enabled but find that unless I set "use_lytebox=false", clicking on a photo still results in a new window opening up when viewing an album in FF3:

activate_lightbox_thumb=true
activate_lightbox_topx=true
activate_lightbox_image=true

The other lightbox related options are set to false. I seem to get the same behaviour in Opera 9.5x too. Only IE7 seems to render the lytebox windows properly. Am I missing something here or just being silly?!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nik

Hi,

Are you using TWG in an iframe? BEcause then you should read the howto how to use the lytebox inside an iframe!

Because If I e.g. test here:

http://www.tinywebgallery.com/demo/inde ... _foffset=4

it works fine with Firefox 3.

Is TWG included somewhere?
And does my demo work on your browser?

TWG is my website actually. I'm not calling it via some other page :-)

Your demo does indeed work in my browser!

The website demo is already runnig 1.7.5.

I have made a small fix for Firefox 3 there. It is not related to your problem but who knows ;). Firefox 3 seems to have some css bugs.

In the forum you find this version + a patch file.

OK, I have upgraded but still not joy I'm afraid.

It almost seems to me like running in an iframe isn't optional. Does it really make that much difference to lytebox?

Hmm, interesting. It now seems that after upgrading and disabling lytebox, it behaves as I expect it to in both IE7 and FF3.

???

Default is NOT using an iframe! Only if you do you have to make special settings to use the Lytebox.

But if the Lightbox works fine for you than it's o.k. The advantage of the Lytebox is if you run TWG inside an iframe.
