Hello

I have encountered a problem when trying to download files from flash uploader that have been uploaded into a directory on our web server. This only seems to happen in Internet Explorer when logged into the member area of our site, which is over a secure connection. It works when I have checked in Firefox, Safari and when logged in to the backend of Joomla administration with Internet Explorer. The error that is outputted by the Flash Uploader when you select a file and click on the download button is ‘Error: io’.

Any ideas welcomed.

OK, yes that would have been useful for me to provide the following information in the previous post:

Joomla version 1.5.3
Joomla Flash Uploader 2.7.4.2

TFU error log does not seem to be present in the following directory:
administrator/ components / com_joomla_flash_uploader or sub directories.

On the error logs on the server the following errors are shown:
Premature end of script headers: /.../.../.../administrator/components/com_joomla_flash_uploader/tfu/tfu_config.php

and

File does not exist: /.../../.../500.shtml

Hope that sheds some light on what might be causing the 'Error: oi' when downloading files.

The other thing is that the Joomla administrator side is not done through SSL where as the website member area is. Could this be down to IE not using the correct ports?

Had a look today again and the log file has appeared in Joomla flash uploader directory and the following errors are present:

10.02.2008 15:07:03 - ERROR 8 in joomla_flash_uploader/tfu/tfu_helper.php, line 1167: Undefined variable: session_double_fix

10.02.2008 15:31:39 - ERROR 8 in joomla_flash_uploader/tfu/tfu_helper.php, line 531: Undefined index: NaN

Also I checked flash uploader in the member area of the website through a unsecure connection and the file download worked in IE, but it definitely appears not to work when it is done through a secure connection.

for JFU you would have to modify this in the file tfu_config.php manually.

I have added the url to call the tfu_upload.php directly in the config file including the 443 port reference and I am still getting the i/o error when trying to download a file in the secure member area of the site.

Also now when I go to upload a file in the joomla administration side I receive a different error which is:

error: securitySandboxError.

The uploading was working fine both through the secure member area and through the joomla administration side before I changed the settings in the config file.

Any further thoughts?

It it possible that you are using seo and the links are somehow rewritten?

The problem is that the request to tfu_upload.php is only shown in the server log. Do you have access to it?

SEO is not turned on.

I have access to the access logs on the host server but I am not sure what I am looking for.
