I am looking at the Joomla Flash Uploader as a replacement for FTP. The files that we need to receive are absolutely huge, usually hundreds of MBs or possibly over 1GB. Since I have only tested the freeware version I can't tell how well this will work for such demanding file sizes. I would love to be able to test this by sending across a Gigabit LAN for size tests and remotely for time tests, though I realize these both are reliant on PHP.ini settings.

My second question is that I love the controls I have for functionality and all works great, but the emails I get show my IP address instead of my username:

The following files where uploaded by 98.219.29.xx:

images/stories/admin/libmp3lame-win-3.97.zip
images/stories/admin/sugarce-patch-5.1.0b.zip

Please get back to me on this as soon as possible as I have a pressing need for this and if we can get these questions resolved positively I would be interested in using Joomla Flash Uploader on potentially several domains.

Hi,

I have successfully tested JFU up to 800 MB. I have a build in workaround for flash that the warning that the flash is running too long is not shown anymore.

About your e-mail.
redownload JFU. I have passed the old session variable name. In 2.8 TFU and JFU now use the same session variables.

Which Joomla / JFU version are you using?

/Michael

The version I downloaded was 2.8 from your site on Nov 9. I am running it with Joomla 1.0.15.
