k so i finally got the image setup done, thanks michael for your help.

Now for the videos,

I did as the howto said, I uploaded the video to youtube.com

- i created a fresh directory called videos, and created a file video.php in it that containd the following code:

Code:
<?php
$video_size_x=425;
$video_size_y=350;
$video_player="FLASH";
$video_autostart=true; // or false - depending what you want
$video_show_dl_link=false;
$video_flash_site="http://www.youtube.com/v/";
$video_autostart_parameter="&autoplay=1";
?>

i then took the v code of the video i.e. v=yTCDV-87 and added it as a jpg file to the same folder like yTCDV-87.jpg

the problem:

the video folder is shown as empty in the gallery, the videos are not visible

edit: i forgot to mentioni changed the dimensions i.e. x=350 and y=288, but that should not effect the viewer

this video does not exist:

http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=yTCDV-87

you have to use a valid id.

i took this from your HOWTO 34

Quote:
This is my personal favorite of the embeded flash players because the site is quite quick, has a lot of videos and it it possible to make your uploaded videos private. Means they can not be found on youtube by search!

thats why i chose youtube for my private videos.

also you tube say that private videos can be viewed by me and by 25 other people..[/quote]

youtube has changes their restrictions. When I implemented that it was possible to access a private video directly by url.

i'll update the faq

have you downloaded the example of the demo? Then you have a working example. Every demo folder can be downloaded as example.

I don't think so.

So even my example does not work if you download it and use it in your install?
