If you rotate the picture in your computer before uploading it, the EXIF information will still be the same, so TWG doesn't know you already rotated it and it will rotate it again.
Disabling that option tells TWG no to touch the picture, even though the EXIF says it should be rotated.
Actually I believe TWG and Photoshop have the right behavior, keeping the picture as it was saved by the camera and showing it rotated accordlingly to the EXIF information. However I also rotate and save my pictures because unfortunately Windows Photo Gallery is not that smart.
Ahh, I was thinking Irfanview's "Reset EXIF orientation tag" option would take care of that...and I thought it did from when I was checking it. Hmm, I'll have to check again... anyhow, thanks for the info!
