strange - in my build is it 10 lines later -

but if you search for checkFullscreen in
inc/filefunctions.inc.php it is there.

can you check this?

how much is the QNAP ? I'm thinkinog of getting something like that because right now my server is running all the time and it not doing much all the time ...

Yes, the file is there, and the checkFullscreen says:

/**
Not used anymore
*/
function checkFullscreen() {
}

As for the price of the QNAp, it was about $550Cdn - not sure if that helps you price wise? I'd say roughly $500 US? For what it is worth, while the hardware is great, the media software isn't very good .... TWG software would make a great replacement for it. Nice if it were packaged for the QNAP for easy novice installation :)

But then it is strange that this function is not found - as you see it is there ...

Do do get any errors in the server log?

Had to do some real work - you probably thought I gave up :)

Anyway, I re-uploaded everything. Same exact problems. Tried changing permissions on the "inc" folder to 777. Still same problem.

Then in desperation I chmod 777 the whole thing and it works.

So it definitely is a permission thing, but I changed all the permissions at the start. I'm wondering if the problem is that when I upload the files, the upload takes on myself as the owner and this changes things. I've been using ssh, maybe if I FTP?

Any idea as to what I can do to change permissions? Thanks in advance, as always!!

Okay, it looks like I had a couple of installation problems.

1) The installation instructions require a chmod 777 change to admin/_config/.htuser.php but that file doesn't exist. It should be htusers.php ("s" is missing)

2) I needed to FTP in. I didn't realize (newbie) that I would otherwise create the files with my user causing access issues (at least I think that is what happened).

Thank you for your patience and help ... now to config :)
