I have the registered version of TWG - this is the third or fourth time I've installed this on client sites, and the first time I have come across this problem.

I can add and delete folders using the Flash uploader, but I cannot upload images - regardless of size, even images that are only 10KB in size.

When using the Flash Uploader, the status bar looks as though it is uploading the file, but then an error message appears stating:

Quote:
Upload failed. 1 file(s) of 1 could not be uploaded.

This happens both in the front end and in the administration back end. No debug file is created when this error occurs, so no clues given there.

When trying to upload images in the administration back end using the old HTML upload form, I get the following message:

Quote:
ERROR(S):

filename.jpg : Missing a temporary folder

The information in my Installation Check is as follows:

Quote:
PHP version >= 4.3.0 Yes (5.2.6)
- XML support Available
- GD lib support Available
- GD lib >= 2.0 Yes (2.0.34)
- imagecreatetruecolor Available
- Memory limit Very Good (128M)
- Max resolution ~ 5248 x 3941
- Rotate available Available
- Text watermark Available
- Remote jpg support Available
- File Uploads Available
- Upload max filesize 2M - Resize images > 2M
Session Available
Javascript Available
Image Magick Support Available
ffmpeg Support Not available
ffmpeg video convert Not available

Can you please help? I am happy to email you details to access the admin area.

looks like the temporary upload folder of your server is not configured properly. Have you chekced the log file?

are you on shared hosting? If yes - ask the hoster to configure the upload properly. If no - check your temp php upload folder.

The client is on shared hosting.

I am sub-contracted to this job, which means I cannot directly access the client or the people providing the hosting, instead I would need to tell the firm I am contracted by what they would need to tell the hosting people, which makes communication challenging.

Specifically, what does the hoster have to do? What is not configured properly?

It would not be enough for me to go to them and just say "configure the upload properly" - can you please provide specific details on what needs to be configured and why?

Thanks :)

php uses a default upload folder.

you can ask them to check if the default php upload folder is set properly and that is is accessible for you.

your problem is that neither the flash nor the html upload is working. So it is for sure a server issue.

if twg you can show the phpinfo which shows all current settings of php. You can check them first.

but most if the time the upload_tmp_dir is set to now value and this set somewhere else.
you can compare this with my settings:
http://www.tinywebgallery.com/demo/info ... pinfo=true

tinywebgallery.com has very restrictive settings. My hoster wanted to change this for me but I don't want to because it the perfect testing server ;).
