Hi,

I'm loving TWG so far and was just wondering if there was a way to view the next picture by clicking on the image as opposed to using the keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks!

No.

Clicking on an images is for download, maximized view, Lightbox, popup depending how you set it.

Oh ok, cool thanks for the fast reply!

few more quick questions:

- After someone has reached the end of an album, is there a setting that allows them to proceed onto the next album automatically?

- I'm currently using the registered version, and have enabled the album tree. Is there any way to make it so that the front page doesn't display any galleries/albums, so basically visitors would only be able to access albums from the album tree?

- Is there any way to make the thumbnail the same for every album? Like putting a picture somewhere and setting that to be the default thumbnail icon? I know these are strange requests, but I'm trying to test the limits of TWG with a very massive image collection, over 100k so far, so I'm attempting to make loading time as minimal as possible...

Hi,

1. no - there is no link between albums.
2. No - the tree is only optional - not the main view. You can use an album.txt and folder.png to kind of make the folderview invisible. But to completely hide it you have to change a little bit of code.
3. Each thumbnail has a different name - therefore even using the same for all would not help. The code would have to be changed to always load the same one.

Hi Michael,

I imagine that you are pretty busy, so do you think you could kind of point me in the general direction of how to go about making these changes? Right now, my site is taking a pretty long time to load, which I assume is because of the massive number of pictures/albums..

In particular, I'd like to be able to set a universal thumbnail image and remove the galleries from appearing on index.php. If having a universal thumbnail image is too difficult, is it possible to place an image file in each folder that would then be used as the thumbnail?

Thanks,
Tressin

have you read the howto about optimizing TWG?
Because I have tested TWG with 200.000 images on my server.

Because the loading if e.g. 30 images on a thumbnail page should not be a problem.

Once the cache is generated you should not have problems with speed when you have optimized TWG.

Ok, I'm still adding images right now, and one more quick question..

Is it possible to change the max number of cache images generated at once? It's at 10,000 right now and I'd like for it to generate all of them without me having to be there to refresh the page and regenerate it every 10,000 images.

set it in config_internal.php

$max_gen_num

The imaes are generated on the fly anyway. Don't know if you need to generate all of them in advance ;).
