This is a bit strange but, I created lots of tags for each photo and album. Created a new folder on FTP and put those folders inside a main folder, eg:

Main
1930
1931
1932

So the 1930,31,32 folders sit inside the Main folder. Since doing so and also since putting a top.htm file into the twg177 folder, when i click on Top Tags on the homepage, it comes up with the following message:

No tags found.
Only tags from unprotected or unlocked galleries can be shown.

I have no folders that are protected or locked. I have never set a password for any folder, so, could someone tell me whats going on here please????

how have you created the tags? Over the frontend?

Click on the bandwidth icon to refresh the internal cache. Maybe it's was just not updated yet.

Nope....ALL tags where WORKING.

Since moving the folders, and clearing the IMAGE cache, ALL my tags have disappeared.

Tags were created via the frontend......How very very annoying. Took me 2 hours last night to create the tags for around 90 images, now I have to redo them.

You need to get this sorted for the next version of TWG, because I will ask for my money back if this happens again today.

Not particularly impressed that I have lost ALL my flipping tags.

Right....something very odd is going on now.

I just created some tags for 1 photo.....checked that they were there on the image, and they are, but STILL do NOT appear under the TOP TAGS link.

What the hell is going on with these folders?

Just WHAT EXACTLY does the message mean when i click on Top Tags?

No tags found.
Only tags from unprotected or unlocked galleries can be shown.

Because this is BULLSHIT. NO folders or galleries have been protected OR locked as per my 1st post.

I NEED HELP.

You where moving folders without renaming the xml files.
How should TWG know that you are moving folder around?

http://www.tinywebgallery.com/en/faq.php#h35

shows you the different options.

So in your case go to the xml folder - look for the old xml filesnames and rename them to the new filenames.
Close the browser - open it again - click on the bandwidth icon to refresh the internal cache. Done.

And if you like to add a lot of tags I would use a windows tool to add iptc data to your images. And then extract them in TWG.

The topx is cached - because otherwise it would be very slow.

do you already have 1.7.7?

Because then you can create a folder.id in your moved folders and put the old names in there.
you have to replace \ or / with _

this prefix is used instead the folder name then.

For the next version I plan to auto create folder.id files if possible because then moving will be even easier.
