Hello.

I'm fresh user of TWG.
When I'm uploading pictures, it takes app. 40 minutes for 8 *.jpg pictures with 900x600 res (cca 150KB). For every picture, there is allways the same error in debug file:

"
10.19.2009 19:11:35 - ERROR 2 in c0_3/www/twg/admin/upload/tfu_helper.php, line 760: Missing argument 2 for is_supported_tfu_image(), called in /tmp/mnt/disc0_3/www/twg/admin/upload/twg_plugin.php on line 44 and defined
"

After that long upload (it also creates cache), it seems, everything is working normal. Where is the problem??

My home server is based on Asus WL500gP router + USB HDD. (266 MHz CPU / 32 MB RAM) -i know, quite slow
- OS linux (with SWAP partition for additional virtual memory)
- lighttpd web server
- PHP Version 5.2.11
- MySQL (not important, i guess)
- php.ini with parameters from HOW TO (TWG)

Thanks for helping me.

Matej

I fixed this error in the latest build.

Simply download the patch and retry.

About the speed. I cannot do anything about your connection ;).

but 40 min for a little bit than one MB - extreeeeemly slow. You only have a modem?

Thank you for your fast replay.

I'm using latest version 1.7.8. and getting this error.

About the speed:

I'm uploading from PC to server directly with 100 MB/s LAN connection.
Also my internet connection is FTTH with 20/20 MB/s. So that should't be a problem.

Upload actually takes only appr. 10 minutes. Then 30 minutes pictures are processed and cached. Probably slow CPU and lack of memory in server, mentioned in previous post.

Any other solution?

Thank you,

Matej

you should download and patch again because I fixed this after your post.

You can tell TWG not to create the cache images directly after the upload.
$generate_cache_at_upload=false;

For me it looks that whe whole processing is don on disk because of so little memory.
how much memory is available of 32 MB is you total mem...

Thank you again!

I installed newer version and it's OK about error. Debug file is empty.

About mem., I dont know exactly (total noob with linux). But as I can see, virtual is increasing around 1 MB/picture, so my guess, sistem is using it alot. CPU is on 100% all the time uploading (actually caching), proably because swap partition is on USB disk with slow transfer speed. So I blame small RAM for slow caching.

As I read, there is a solution to increase RAM in that Asus router (acting as a server in my case), but involves soldering and messing with PCB.
I know, it's still basicaly a router, I shouln't expect so much from it.

But I found another solution. I saw, that caching makes two additional jpg files. Small and Thumbnail. So I increased "Size of the web images" value to 900 (while my pictures are 900x597 or 597x900). Now it caches only thumbnail picture and works much faster. But still needs around 1 minute/image.

Thanks
Matej

As I said.

set
$generate_cache_at_upload=false;

then the cache is not generated at upload but on the first access.

Since I won't have so many pictures - around 100 at the beginning, then app. 10 more per week, I will have cache at upload enabled.
It's no problem to wait for couple of minutes by upload. I prefer this more, than waiting at first access.
But in case of changing server config, I will do it, as you suggested.

Thanks for your support. I find this application excellent and very useful to me.
