I just installed the Joomla 1.5.16 update I could not login to the front end of the site. Apparently the problem is that the Session Handler in Global Configurations was set to "none." This solved my BIG issue, and apparently the Joomla folks are coming out with a fix, but is "none" necessary for the current version of Joomla Flash Uploader?

Seems there is a Joomla bug in the 1.5.16. Joomla will release a new version 1.51.7 today! So please check if your problem is solved then!

If you set the session save handler to Database JFU still works but with a little bit internal caching. The reason is that Joomla and JFU then do not share the same session anymore. I do write the stuff I need to the normal session but I cannot write anything back to the Joomla session. And this leads to some restrictions. Because of license issues I'm not allowed to directly use the Joomla session. I'm currently looking for a way to to this without hurting any license stuff.

As I was testing JFU to see if it reacted to the change in the Session Handler I could not create a folder. Specifically I could not type in the box to create a name for a folder. Does this have to do with the Session Handler or perhaps with my browser (Opera)?

No. You have the option to create a folder but then you are not able to type into the text field?
Or are there any other messages?

It is on the Opera browser and not on Firefox, where it does work. I cannot type in the box to rename a folder either.

It doesn't work on your site either- sorry! It is Opera for Mac- might that be the difference?

maybe - i have never tried this. You can try to include the flash without Javascript in the options.

Sorry, that didn't work either. I thought it might be that I needed to install Flash 10 for Opera, but that didn't seem to work either.

Seems to be Opera for mac then. The strange thing is that only the text filed seems not to work. Upload does work fine?
