Downloaded twg182 a couple of days ago...Having an exciting time figuring out the customization possibilities.

I chose a black background... found a way to change most of the links to white... But the folder names and descriptions stubbornly refuse to change.

Did a search of the forum, and read several pages of posts, studied the website, not finding the solution anywhere.

The color manager does not work?

It gives you a basic css you only have to extend.

Must be my server...

Using the colour picker made no difference... The pictures and titles are unchanged.

Then you have to use firebug or webdeveloper plugin for firefox to find the right css.
Have you e.g. defined a skin which overwrites your settings?

Found the problem... line 988 twg182/style.css

I had the style I wanted in 2 other places... and /style.css was over ruling it!

if style.css ist overwriting it then you do changes in style.css whichis NOT recommended. You should use my_style.css as I write in the documentation.

Yeah, yeah... I know...

I had to make the change there.... That was the only place left.... I might have made a spelling correction (or 2) while I was in there earlier looking for code to put into my_style.css...

My TWGXplorer is unwriteable, there's various other probs, it's a free host, if I can make the gallery work, I'm not complaining.

edit: I moved the gallery to another free site host and now everything works like it should...

If save mode is on TWGexplorer cannot be really used. But at free host this is unfortunately sometime the case.

I decided to go with the I-frame...
My site navigation was too difficult to use on the tiny web gallery...

I really liked the way site navigation looks when it's on the left side, but putting it on top or header meant the background colours extended across the side border colours, and I couldn't code it to match...

I wonder if you would consider changing "top.htm" so that it's below the default navigation, but above the picture on album view?


overview.htm, thumb.htm, image.htm, topx.htm all display below the pic, and I really wanted to put something above it...

If your css does define a lot of defaults this can be really hard.

I don't understand what you mean with the top.htm.

if you want to display something above the image you can use image.txt (global_image.htm) - see addon page.

image.txt doesn't work for me. it displays beside the image.

I don't have time this morning to show you what it looks like when I try to put the navigation on top . htm....
I will try to show you after work...

you can configure where image.txt is shown - just read the howto.
