Hi!
I have just changed my TWG password mode from the old to:
$user_login_mode=true;
$user_login_mode_hide_gal=true;

Now admin/password is not able to login to:
I get the message:
Wrong username/password
Please enter again:
-----------------------------------
But I am able to login to:
#removed_broken_link
Using same admin/password
When using the button
"Back to TWG"
I get redirected to the webgallery page, but no folders are shown.
Home directory for admin is set to "."
Other users are able to access folders in the webgallery, just not admin.
What have I missed? Thanx in advance :-)
Kind regards
A very happy user
Brian

I just checked.

You can only unlock galleries in the frontend login because there the galleries are unlocked.

But I don't understand why you cannot login. You have any other settings?

do password not support special characters?
ex. @£$€#%&+=

I have some of the above in my password, and i think perhaps they are causing the problem?

some of them are not allowed by my method that checks all incoming parameters from the frontend.

Ok.
I will just have to decrease my admin password strength.

Another quick question:
I use the "$user_login_mode_hide_gal=true" setting. So I would like to have the global login window shown. Where should the "private.txt" be placed? In \twg\ or in \twg\pictures\. And what should be the content of the file?
If I add users, they have full access as private.txt DOES work recursive?

Hi Michael

I already read Howto 12, and just about everything else in your FAQ and configuration guide. But It does not seem to answer my question.
What exactly is the main folder \twg\ or \twg\pictures\ ?
And If I add users to the "private.txt" in the main folder. Will they have full access to all sub-folder due to recursive?
Or if I enter no users, no-one will be able to login?

Kind regards
-Brian-

You read the part before "user based galleries"?

There you find that it works recursive and that you have to use the "pictures" directory.

Hi Michael!

I dont think that we are on the same page here...
If I use private.txt in the main folder I have 2 outcomes.
1: I enter all usernames (user1,user2,user3,ect). Then all users would have access to all folders. That I do not want.
2: I dont enter any usernames. Then no one will be able to access any folders. That I also do not want.
So the question is: How do I get the global login window. And at the same time keep different rights for different users?
So sorry for the inconvenience. But I just dont get it.

Kind regards
-Brian-
