it seems that only the images with a big JPG extensions are affected!

I check that the extensions cannot be changed - maybe this could be a problem.

I'll check...

I found the problem.

it's because of the .JPG + the activated normalization which makes all filenames lowercase. So the extensions do not match anymore.

I have changed this setting in your profile.
Additionally I changed the check in JFU that it is not case sensivive at this point. This is already available in 2.12.1.
Then both settings work toghether.

Best,
Michael

I still can't edit the *.JPG ones... which I understand I can edit them by ftp but I really need to make this "user-proof".

Something in the settings still seems to be case sensitive.

Yes, yes rename. I meant to say "rename" not edit.

I tried changing a *.JPG file to *.jpg and it still doesn't work for me... do I have to uninstall and upgrade to 2.12.1 to make this work?

Just check the error message! you are changing the extension! If you like this you have to enable this in the config. Because of seurity reasons the default is that extensions cannot be changed.

But for the next version I could loosen this restriction that it could be done case insensitive...

someone renames a .php file to jpg - uploads it - renames it back to .php end exacutes this on the server!

Now in JFU 2.12.1 the case of extensions can be changed even when rename of extensions is not allowed because I think this is safe ;).
