Hi There,

We have implemented TWG on several sites, and only recently learned about the automatic folder image option. So we enabled it on one site, and also added the recursive option.

And it worked great, but only for 2 out of 3 folders. We waited 24 hours to see if it would generate the folder image... no luck.

You can see it here: http://www.rileyrae.ca/gallery.html

Any help would be appreciated.

normally this looks for the most viewed images.

Have you clean the session/temp cache in the backend?

Best,
Michael

Yep. First thing I did after saving the new settings.

I also tried this: http://www.rileyrae.ca/PhotoGallery/ind ... width=true (don't know if that actually does anything, just saw you mention it in another post)

I think I know your problem.

The recursive functions uses the top viewed images - the counter is only used if you are on the detail page.
But you use the lighbox before the counter starts.

so you maybe visited the other 2 folders before you enabled the lightbox.

simply use a folder.png or go to a detail page once (you can add &twg_show=x to see the first image).

Best,
Michael

hmmm.. thanks for that.

I just went into of the folders and added "&twg_show=x" to the URL, looked through a couple images, and now it's there.

This leads me to the next question of what happens when a new folder is created?? we'll have to visit the topx page manually? Is this something you may fix in a future release?

I can check if there could be a fallback - I have to check the implementation if this is easily possible.

Best,
Michael

The fallback or a separate option altogether could simply be to use the first image (or random image) found in any subfolders (recursively).

this is actually the fallback.

But I checked and this does not work is spaces are in the path somewhere because I already compare there against the encoded string.
I have changed this on my local build already that this check is done right.

It will be available in the 1.8.5 preview maybe tonight.
I have only 2 small todo's before I can publish it again to the forum.

done. I have updated 1.8.5 preview.

Simply use the patch file and retry.

Best,
Michael
