I have previously installed JF Uploader in my main medlink-uk.net domain. It worked straight away without any adjustments necessary.

I have created a subdomain gallery.medlink-uk.net and installed JFU but it does not work. I get the message above. I have tried all the things in the FAQ I can get at, permissions 777, etc but no success.

Any ideas why the second installation does not work?

Many thanks, Mike Welsh

what are the results of the steps described in the FAQ.
Like can you call the tfu_login.php directly?

Hi,

I do not have a tfu folder or login.php

Inside com_jfuploader is an images folder and the following files:
index.html, jfuploader.css, jfuploader.html.php, jfuploader.js, jfuploader.php

This is the same in my other working installation.

Thanks, Mike.

Hi,

When I run the file: http://gallery.medlink-uk.net/administr ... _login.php

I get a 404 component not found and this message in the error log:

[30-Sep-2011 08:43:51] 09.30.2011 8:43:51 - ERROR 2 in com_jfuploader/admin.jfuploader.html.php, line 1147: fileperms() [<a href='function.fileperms'>function.fileperms</a>]: stat failed for /home/medlink5/public_html/gallery/administrator/components/com_jfuploader/tfu/tfu_config.php

Thanks, Mike.

Hi,

Reinstalled. Same authentication error. Attached are screenshots of files in public_html/gallery/administrator/com_jfuploader and com_jfuploader/tfu. Enabled 777 permissions for login.php in config but no effect.

Thanks Mike

Hi Michael,

The first screenshot is the tfu folder.

What am I looking for in it, and what do I do with it?

Mike.

if you type the full url to a file like
http://gallery.medlink-uk.net/administr ... _login.php
or
http://gallery.medlink-uk.net/administr ... loader.php

it is not found. It could be that you have a .htaccess in the folder that does redirect all access to files in subfolders of administration to a 404.
You can look ifyou find this .htaccess or move the tfu folder to the <joomla>/components part. You can do this in the administration of JFU on the main config page.

Hi Michael,

Went into Config and clicked button to move TFU from administrator to site.

Made no difference.

Would it be easier if I just sent you you backend admin credentials so you can you have a quick look?

Many thanks, Mike.

you have to figure out why the files cannot be called.

Do you have an iis?

Hi Michael,

Why will this be different? JFUploader on the main domain medlink-uk.net installed without problem and works fine.

Thanks, Mike.

I don't know how your subdomain is configured. Maybe your logs helps you here.

You get a 404 - Component not found.
Seems to be a Joomla message (because of the Component not found)

Please google for "404 - Component not found.". there are a couple of different users that have this issue also with Joomla and other components.

Some say it could be related to SEO. Is the installation the same on the subdomain (especially the .htaccess)

Hi Michael,

Domain and subdomain have same Joomla installation. Subdomain gallery is simpler as fewer components/modules installed.

Renamed htaccess files attached.

Thanks, Mike.
