First congratulations for TWG... I am not easy to impress (20 years of experience as a software engineer myself), but I think that TWG nailed 99.9% of my desires for an album software.

The 0.01% relates to being able to display the complete file name in the picture display window. It is silly to require that, but I have the date and time stamp in the file name and that allows me to have an idea about when the image was created.

I use the software to browse my webcams automatically uploaded images. This is the only solution I have found that allows automated acquisition through ftp... It actually does more with less. Provided that no database is needed, it can do more... Congratulations!

TWG has a feature to hide file names if there are to many numbers in the file name.
Set
$autodetect_filenames_as_captions_number=20;

and the file names should be used as captions.

That works! Thank you. Although I would have hoped to see the name just below the image.

Where else? Is it not below the image?

I think I don't understand what you mean.

This is exactly the place if you configure it right:
see: http://www.tinywebgallery.com/demo/inde ... MG5512.jpg

Have you enabled the display of captions? (Or disabled it by mistake because this is the default).

Best, Michael

there is one option that enable/disable the display of the caption.
There is an additional option where you can restrict the number of numbers in a file name to be displayed.

The reason is that you e.g. don't want to display "12345.jpg" but "This is a nice image.jpg"

Best, Michael
