Code:
The request has invalid input. If you where trying to hack TWG - try again ;).

This is the exact error message, and it occurs after I submit info to add a new user. I am using version 1.8.9, and all else appears to work just fine. Directories and files that should be writable are writable, info.php returns mostly green except for the two mpeg entries (no matter there though), and two of the 'Recommended Settings' - Display Errors and Magic Quotes GPC, which are both 'off' and recommended to be 'on'. I don't know if this relates to the issue at hand or not..

This is a link to an earlier thread about a near exact problem.
Adding Users

Maybe this is useful info - TWG is in an iframe in my website. The URL is http://somdcomputerguy.com/index.php?p=gallery if you need to see this.

And last but not least - Great script! Thanks!

What is the home directory when you try to add a user?

there are no ../ allowed. The root directory is the main twg directory.
I just saw that if the basedir is set to e.g. ../pictures this is the default in this field which is wrong!
'pictures' is correct!

The default should now be fine in TWG 1.9 ;).

.. is not allowed because this way you could get outside the TWG directory.

The directory and it's subdirs for the the pictures are outside the TWG directory, so I thought that .. did need to be in the path. However, I removed that part of the path and all is well now. Thanks.

right - because this I fixed this internally with the path. But I forgot to fix the default.

So you only added the last directory?

See, my 'bottomline' file path root, or 'DocRoot' is "/myhoststuff/myusername/htdocs". This is the directory that my domain name leads to. TWG is here, "/myhoststuff/myusername/htdocs/TWG". The pictures are here, "/myhoststuff/myusername/htdocs/pictures". This is in Admin|Additional Settings - $basedir="../pictures";. Now, the 'Home Directory' in User Admin|Edit is "/pictures/somesubdir", and all seems to be working as expected! To note, the only change to solve the initial issue was to remove the ".." from the beginning of the 'Home Directory' path.

That is what I thought. So in 1.9 the initial directory will be correct.
